The Covenant Path

Vs 1
On the cov’nant path our feet are firmly planted;
Striving to keep promises made to the Lord.
Living by His precepts, following His footsteps,
Our faith now fulfills His word.

With our hope in Christ, we walk in His light,
It is in the Lord we confide.
For on the covenant path, we seek to do God’s will;
His everlasting truths abide.

Vs 2
Weekly we partake of sacramental emblems,
Symbols to remember the Lord’s sacrifice;
Frequently repenting, always representing
His name, that of Jesus Christ.

As we do His will, then His spirit fills,
And our hearts become knit as one.
For on the cov’nant path we minister and serve
With love, just as our Savior’s done.

Vs 3
We will do God’s work by serving in His temples,
Keeping every ordinance close in our hearts.
Frequently returning, for we must keep learning
Of the knowledge He imparts.

And our loved ones wait at the cov’nant gate,
Near on Heaven’s side they dwell.
For on this cov’nant path is where we all progress
And gather both sides of the veil.

Vs 4
On the cov’nant path the Lord sends forth His blessings;
It is through obedience that we qualify.
Joyfully enduring, hope we’re now securing,
As we follow Jesus Christ.

O, press on, press on, though the road is long;
Trust the Lord through struggle and strife.
For on this cov’nant path is where we find His peace; And with God claim eternal life.
