If you’ve never heard of me or my music before, here’s a good page to start on my website.

I am a mama of 5 (now mostly grown) children and musician and have been writing music for over 30 years. I began seriously writing as a teenager, but began publishing my music as a young mother when I was drowning in diapers, sleepless nights and managing 60 apartments. One might wonder when I found the time, but what I learned is that in the “snippets” of time between nap time and after my littles went to sleep, I was gifted the time. The Lord knew it would bless my life to work on my music, and so He has helped me every step of the way as I have been willing to work at it.

I am the first to admit, I’m not a “trained” musician. I took piano lessons for about 10 years and the rest has come little by little as I have researched and learned. For me, I write what I hear.

When I was expecting my third baby, I would often hear the words in my mind “write…write…write”. Sometimes at even 3:00am, and most often when writing was not convenient. I have now realized this is one way the Lord has given me opportunity to stretch and grow in preparation for the next thing. For me, through the exercise of sacrifice and faith in music creation, he prepared me for many trials that require the Savior’s Atonement in my life, and He continually does so.

Writing Christ-centered music has helped me desire to stay close to the spirit. I hope listening to it, and other music like mine, does the same for you. I am just one of many contributors, and I know that the desires of many musician’s hearts are simply that they can contribute some goodness in the world. It brings us joy that we can do that for others.

Whether it be through the lens of the creator or in the enjoyment of other’s creations, we can all be edified together.
